Envoy-II Center-Fire Rifle Suppressors

The Envoy-II suppressor is designed to suppress the muzzle blast of the host rifle so that hearing protection is not required, while making no effort to slow the velocity of the bullet.  The suppressor is made from 100% welded stainless steel.  It will safely withstand full auto firing with the caveat that with prolonged burst fire the suppressor may tend to loosen with potentially catastrophic results. Using a crush washer will help to mitigate this.  NEVER USE SPLIT LOCK WASHERS WITH ANY SOUND SUPPRESSOR!!! The Envoy-II is available in both .223 and .308 models.  The .223 can has ½-28 threads and the .308 has 5/8-24 as the standard thread.  With its all welded construction the .223 can is safe on calibers up to the .22-250 class and the .308 is safe for use on .300 Mag class bolt action and single shot rifles.

If you wish to use sub-sonic ammunition in .223 rifles the twist rate should be no slower than 1-8” which is most AR-15 type rifles currently in production.  Very few factory produced bolt action .223 rifles will have the necessary twist rate.  The same 1-8” twist should be used in .308 rifles which means you will need a custom barrel.  Some commercially loaded .308 sub sonic ammunition, loaded with 180-200 grain flat base bullets, claim to be safe with standard twists but as we have no first hand experience with these we must refrain from recommending their use.
