These Tactical Innovations T-15 AR-15 Lower Receivers are made from Mil-Spec 7075 aluminum forgings. 7075 is the strongest grade of aluminum and is widely used in aerospace applications. These receivers have some unique features that set them apart from most other lowers. The magazine well is cut with wire EDM. This allows much closer tolerances and better finish to preclude magazine fitment issues. There is a nylon tipped set screw that allows adjustment between the upper and lower receiver to remove play without using shims or spacers. If you’ve ever assembled an AR you know how easy it is to kink the rear push pin detent spring. These receivers have a small set screw that captures that spring and keeps it from being damaged when installing the stock. They also have HK style pictogram markings for the selector laser engraved on both sides of the receiver. The serial number and manufacturer information is also laser engraved. Laser engraving is much more consistent than stamping or roll engraving. I’ve been messing with AR’s for over 25 years, and in the machine shop business even longer. If I were to start manufacturing lower receivers this is exactly how I would build them. They can be used to build rifles, pistols or SBR’s.
